I don't imagine anyone would really be out there reading a blog as dead as this one at this point, but I thought I'd make a quick post to explain why my activity dropped off so quickly all those months ago.
I've been a huge Nintendo fanboy since 1985. Still am, and likely always will be. And I still love playing my Wii and DS games.
There came a point in my life - earlier this year - where I decided that time is the most valuable asset I have, and I could either spend my time and energy on blogging endlessly about Nintendo (Which many other people already do), or I could spend it writing my own video games. I've been a programmer for a long time, and game development has always been a secret dream of mine.
So way back in March, I started out in the indie games scene, making games on the Flash and Xbox 360 platforms. Not only is it an awesome and fun hobby, but it also makes me a little money on the side. This blog will never do anything but use up time and prevent me from being productive.
That's really the long and short of it. I'm following my dream, and although I might never be a famous game developer or anything like that, at least I can say that I'm a game developer.
I might still post here occasionally, but if so, it'll be on a much more personal basis and not because I'm rejoining the ranks of hobby game blogging.
If you happen to have an Xbox 360 and care to take a look at my first major game release, you can find it at the link below. It's called Aesop's Garden, and if you're a longtime NES player, you might have some ideas about where I got my inspiration:
